Birtty Mondier

Birtty Mondier was born February 16, 1935 to Charles and Pearl McGowan in Blackwell, Oklahoma. She departed this life July 19, 2012 at the age of 77 years, 5 months, and 3 days.

Birtty had spent her youth residing near Tahlequah. She attended school around the Dripping Springs area. On December 31, 1990 Birtty was united in marriage to Michael Mondier. She has made her home in Sapulpa for the last 22 years. She retired from Standard Tobacco in Sapulpa where she had been employed over 23 years. Her hobbies were cooking, fishing, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Mondier of the Sapulpa home. Three children, Stanley Thompson and wife Marie of Bristow, Carolyn Horton of Bristow, and Jerry Lee Thompson of Sapulpa. Two step children, Michael C. Mondier, II, and Patrick Mondier both of Sapulpa. Five grandsons, Michael, Clifford, and Lonnie Barnes, Richard and Ralph R. Thompson. Fourteen great grandchildren, Sahsha Barnes, Gayla Barnes, Destin Barnes, Launi Barnes, Claudia Barnes, Calvin Casteel, Chase Casteel, Cody Barnes, Taylor Barnes, Nicholas Barnes, Alexia Barnes, Sadey Thompson, Grayden Thompson, and Reese Thompson. One great great grandchild, Palmur Barnes Sanchez. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Rocky Thompson; two sons, Reese Dewayne Thompson and Richard Everett Thompson; four brothers, Jack, George, Lou, and Arvin McGowan; three sisters, Katy Poston, Edna Boswell, and Eula Webster.

Funeral services will be held 2PM, Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at the Hutchins-Maples Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at the Bristow City Cemetery.
